ZepWash Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ZepWash ("we", "our", "us") operates the ZepWash mobile application (the "App"), a subscription-based car wash service available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the App you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and maintain your ZepWash account.
Process and manage your car wash subscription.
Schedule daily cleanings and assign staff to your location.
Process payments through our payment partner, Razorpay.
Send you notifications about cleaning status, payment confirmations, and service updates.
Respond to and resolve complaints you file through the App.
Improve app performance and fix technical issues.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

We share only the minimum data necessary for these services to function (e.g., phone number for authentication, payment details for billing). We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud / Firebase servers. We implement the following security measures:

Phone-based OTP authentication (no passwords stored).
Firestore security rules that enforce role-based access — you can only read and modify your own data.
All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Payment information is handled entirely by Razorpay and is never stored on our servers.

6. Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you the service. When you delete your account, all data is removed as described in Section 8.

Razorpay may retain payment records independently in accordance with their own retention policy and applicable financial regulations.

8. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

Open the ZepWash app and sign in.
Go to Profile (bottom navigation).
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Upon deletion, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

Firebase Authentication record (phone number, UID)
User profile (name, phone number)
Customer profile (address, vehicle details, subscription status)
All subscription, cleaning, complaint, and payment records
Staff assignment for your vehicle

    Active subscriptions: If you have an active Razorpay subscription, please cancel it via the Manage Subscription screen before deleting your account. Deleting your ZepWash account does not automatically cancel the subscription on the Razorpay side.

If you cannot access the App, you may request deletion by emailing support@zepwash.in with your registered phone number. We will process the request within 7 business days.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data — visible in the App (Profile, Subscription, Cleaning History).
Correct inaccurate data — editable through the Profile screen or by contacting support.
Delete your data — via in-app account deletion (see Section 8).
Withdraw consent — you may revoke location or notification permissions at any time through your device settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
